Georgina H. Escobar is a Mexican playwright and director living in the U.S. She is a MacDowell Fellow, Djerassi Resident and recipient of the National Kennedy Center Award for Theatre For Young Audiences (Daryl Hayes Award). Her work has been featured in the Kilroys List (StoneHeart), The Texas Review (Matted), Los Bárbaros (Ribbon About A Bomb), and New Passport Press (Cósmica). Her work has been produced across the USA, México, U.K., Italy, and participated in the ASSITEJ festival in Denmark and Sweden. Her musical Little Duende was at the National Musical Theatre Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and her plays have been produced and developed at INTAR, Clubbed Thumb, Lincoln Center, Bushwick Starr (NY), Two Rivers (NJ), Milagro (PDX), Aurora Theatre (GA), and more.
