Lex is a neurodivergent trans non-binary director and theatre-maker, originally from Sheffield. Their practice is movement-oriented and interrogates gender, social constructs, and human connection, with an emphasis on staging stories that have queer joy at their core. They have recently staged their first full-length show at Omnibus Theatre after completing Stone Crabs’ Directors In Practice course last year, as well as working with theatre company Milk Presents on the UK Tour their queer kids show Marty And The Party. Lex has also been longlisted for the Young Vic’s Genesis Future Director Award 2023 and is excited to continue to create work that challenges audiences to think critically about how they exist in the world and engage with experiences outside of their own.
