Joe is an award-winning director based in the North of England, working throughout the UK. He works across scripted and devised work. Having studied languages, he has a particular interest in international work, and took part in the 2020 Theatre Translation Summer School at BCLT. In the last year Joe has collaborated with writer Jonathan Harvey, Bruntwood prize-winning playwright Andy Sheridan and Lotte Wakeham (Artistic Director of Octagon Theatre). He works regularly with the established theatres Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon and Leeds Playhouse. In 2018, Joe was selected by London’s renowned Young Vic as one of their supported directors. From 2018 – 2022, he worked at the Bolton Octagon directing their Young Company productions.
